Kitten Season is Here — Here is How to Help (Even Without Adopting)
Spring brings hundreds of kittens through our doors. Not ready to adopt? Here are five powerful ways you can still make a difference.
Every May, our shelter shifts into "kitten season" mode. Pregnant cats and litters arrive daily — sometimes 30+ kittens in a single weekend. Most need foster care because they are too young for the shelter environment.
You don’t have to be ready to adopt to help save these tiny lives. Here are five high-impact ways to support kitten season at GHS.
Quick Reference
- Foster a litter for 4–8 weeks (we provide everything)
- Donate KMR kitten formula, soft kitten food, or small litter boxes
- Sponsor a kitten ($75 covers full medical & spay/neuter)
- Spay/neuter your own outdoor cats — community cats are the source
- Spread the word: share our kitten posts and tell friends about TNR
